Faculty and Administrative Staff

The teaching staff in 2009 will include: teachers of Spanish language, art and architecture, politics and history, literature and writing. Administrative staff will include: the Site and Studies Director, Director of Community Service, Dean of Students, and an intern.

Phil Holland, Site Director in Barcelona, is Chairman of the English Department at Anatolia College in Thessaloniki, Greece. He is also Adjunct Lecturer in Translation at the Université de Montpelier's program in European Studies at the Institut français de Salonique. He holds a BA in Literature and Languages from Bennington College, a Certificat in Philologie Romaine from the Université de Louvain, and a PhD in English from the University of London. He formerly directed the Bennington July Program at Bennington College and has taught English at Bennington, Dartmouth, and Cornell. His translations of French and Latin poetry were published in World Poetry, and he collaborated with choreographer Moses Pendleton on the Paris Opera's "Integrale Erik Satie" at the Opéra Comique.
